Ok, just put in a new Orient Engine in a '94 auto 4runner. It worked great for a week, now it won't start, it just clicks a lot. Put a new starter on it, it did the same thing. Put new battery cables on it, it did the same thing. Took the starter off, had it tested, it works, put it back on, it did the same thing again. The battery is good, I put a new Optima Yellow Top on it when I put the new motor in. Connections seem to be good, ground is on, and everything is tight. All the lights, and everything work great, so the battery seems strong, but the starter just clicks at me.
Any ideas, suggestions, HELP, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

 

Did you replace the wiring harness? If not, the 'ignition' wire to the starter or relay may be bad. If you don't have a relay, check out Roger's tip at the bottom of this page.
