Heater control problems

Are there any common problems with the heater controls? For example, my fan speed control is totally off. It's like the internal contacts have moved by 1/8 inch or something. I can't get the highest speed. And the contacts don't line up when the switch "clicks" into place. I have to put the switch in between the speed selections. Anything special I need to know? Do I just need to pull the unit out and adjust the small box that contains the contacts?

What year is your Toyota? If its old stuff its probably a bent switch lever and it would be easy to fix with a little patience. Just be careful not to break the face of lighted control background.

Itf its new stuff, I dunno.
