Hey all,

My fan is squeaking like a mofo lately and I am wondering if anyone has taken this out, and what your experience was like doing so. It sounds like the bearing is shot, but It could just be something is stuck in there.. If its easy to get out I may pull it and have a look before buying a new one.

Any thoughts ?

Well if anyone is interested. I Googled how to remove the blower motor fan. Took it out by removing the 3 screws that hold the assembly under the glove box. Removed fan from motor and cleaned out motor with compressed air getting out all the carbon from the brushes and dirt build up. Oiled shaft on top and bottom with a few drops of light machine oil and cleaned the fan blade with soapy water and a long bristled brush, as there was allot of dirt build up. Motor brushes looked good as did armature. Put back in and is quiet and smoooth
