Headlight Switch?

Does anyone know how hard it is to replace the headlight switch in a 99 4runner? Maybe I will take some pics and do a write-up this weekend if it has not been done yet but some tips ahead of time would help.

This is for an older model, but it might help. Make sure you disconnect the battery and wait at least 90 seconds before messing with the air bag.

its very easy, first remove the two halves of the shroud that covers the column, there are two screws behind the steering wheel, you will have to turn the wheel a bit to get to both of them, there are also some screws on the bottom of it, once you get that off, just remove the two screws that hold the switch in, unplug it, and slide it out

I have a switch from a limited that I tried to put in tonight but the grooves did not line up so it would not fit. I though though tthe switched from the limiteds were supposed to work. I want the limited switch because it has the built in fog light switch.

just cut out the plastic on your console, the switch will cover it and you should have what you need.
