Gurgling sound after flushing radiator

I just flushed my 89 3.0 V6 completly and refilled it with 50/50 yota red and distilled. I now hear a gurgling noise when the heat is on and especially when I am making a turn. I checked the levels and all is good: radiator is topped with fluid as well as the overflow right the full line. Any ideas????

I have heard that noise also. I think it is water filling the heater core. If it does not stop in a day or two, check for leaks that may be causing small amounts of air to enter the coolant lines and get into the core. I am not sure about that, but it makes sense to me.

Wink

Did you bleed the air out of the system?

When you drained it, you didn't work the air out of the heater core. Take your radiator cap off, turn the temp to hot on the teater, start the 4Runner and run it till the thermostat opens. You should see the antifreeze level in the radiator drop as the bubbles begin working out.

Me too, I was thinking 'call a plumber'

Like other people said it's probably air in the heater core, and if you have a back seat heater don't forget that one as well.

Thnks, that sounds like a plan. I will give that a try as soon as it gets a little warmer outsided.
