Got some questions

Hey guys I had posted on here before and read about the thunk when at a stop and letting the foot off the brake thing that happens to many 3rd gen owners but I now have a few more questions. Mine was doing this regularly and it needed some maintenance items done so I had my mechanic lube all the zerks on the driveshaft as well as check the joints. I also had both front and rear dif's fluid changed out and also the transfer case. For about 2 weeks you could tell the thunk was barely noticeable but now I am noticing that I am getting a thunk before i even stop completely at about 5 mph and then when I am stopped completely and let off the brakes I get the feeling of being bumped into from behind that I was experiencing before. I think my suspension is about done for could alot of this be from axle wrap?? My tranny shifts well and seems fine I duno what else could be causing these issues. Any suggestions??

If it got better then came back again sounds like he needs to grease it more.

Axle wrap would be my first guess, but I don't have a very good understanding of the 4runner rear suspension system. I'm a leaf spring guy. I do know that over-greasing the DS slip joint can temporarily easy the clunking but I wouldn't recommend it because of the extreme hydraulic pressure it puts on the drive line. I'd look for other ways to stop the axle wrap if thats what it is.
