Gobi Stealth Rack Install - 96-02 4runners
Notice not 'installed'. Just got it in from freight 5 minutes ago, we'll be installing it at 3:30 with lots of pictures. I'll end up making a photo friendly write up supplement similar to the one I did with the ladder. Here's a quick cell phone teaser picture. There's also another ladder included with the rack but man this thing is huge!

Well my roommate is almost home from his internship we should start putting it on within the next hour. Realized that people were waiting and man what a sucky teaser pic....here are a couple real ones. I've received lots of big goodies via freight but the packaging and organization that was involved in shipping this out is top quality. Roommate just pulled in we're going to hang out for a minute and start. Already took the stock cross bars out and inserted the 4 in channel mounts. Rest to come soon!
Notice the plastic wrapped wires on all 4 corners, a pleasant surprise to find out the have prerouted wires within the tubing, exiting out the corners through a nice snug rubber grommet. This thing is amazing.
Yeah the ladder is going to someone, its still up in the air how I'll be doing that but I'll keep everyone posted.

Sorry! We took our time reading everything and lining it up. Everything is solid I don't even know where to begin. Obviously the more descriptive details will be in the article when its published but I'll see if I can answer any questions.
As some of you have seen the rack has 6 main mounting points, 4 of which mount and lock inside the stock roof channels and 2 which adhere to the body itself in the front. Well after aligning and locking the 4 in the back I saw almost no reason to pull the sticky tape off the front 2 mounts, they're just pressed down onto the body. I don't see anything they could really improve everything was done exactly how I would have wanted it to be. No looking at parts and wondering what the hell it is, everything about this design and the sources of integrity just make sense. Enjoy!
