Gauge cluster fuse keeps blowing

Gauge cluster fuse keeps blowing
Hi all,
the gauge cluster 10 amp fuse keeps blowing.
the weird thing is, the engine gets more responsive after the fuse pops.
Ive been trying to find a reason why my AC compressor clutch won’t engage at idle, only when the gas pedal is depressed. I wonder if this is related.
The clutch has been disconnected for diagnostic purposes.
any insight would help greatly!
