Gas Tank Capacity

Was wondering if anyone know what the gas tank holds on a 1986 Toyota 4x4 P/U, with the 2.4L 2bbl carb. I called the dealer here in town and they weren't exactly sure. Thanks.

P.S.

Let's forego the run it till its empty then fill it up comments, cuz thats something I'd say.

Since Toyota seemed to have no qualms about installing tanks other then what is specified for the vehicle, and they weren't carefull about the dimensional specifications, I'd suggest your eschewed recommendation of emptying the tank and performing a measured fill is in fact the best way to actually determine actual capacity.
