Gas Mileage . . .

I filled up today for $1.47 per gallon.
I wish my 4Runner had a larger tank. We used to own a GMC Suburban that had a 42 gallon tank. You could plan your fillups a lot better. It did hurt to fill up though, usually 50-60 bucks!

Oh, Bundubasher ... f%^k! That's expensive! I can buy race fuel for my bike for less than that...

Usually on road trips, my fiancee's bladder is only good for 100 miles.
I just like the convience of filling up once a month. The Flying J near where I used to live was usually 10 cents or more cheaper than everywhere else.
Just a few years (1998) ago I filled up in Atlanta for $0.69 a gallon at the QT. I doubt times like that will ever happen again.

Yeah but you could always just fill up with half a tank if the acct was suffering that month. I wish we had bigger tanks, but I mean after 300 miles I need to stop anyway, and can all but throw a rock and hit a gas station for all of the city driving I do. For mountain stuff, jerry cans are cheap.

Oh Lord! Don't I know it's expensive! But that's our penny pinching, soul destroying, tax you out of existence, leach of a government for you! I can buy agricultural diesel (same stuff just with a red dye in it and no duty) for half the price, but the police can impound your vehicle if they dip your tank and find you running on it. Here in the UK the worst crime, not rape or murder, is trying to cheating the taxman of his/her pound of flesh!

If I had to pay 5.75 a gallon, I would sell my cars and start driving scooters around everywhere I went (You know - like when you see a 40 year old man in 3 layers of coveralls riding a Yamaha Jog in January
) and, Maybe a bigger bike for road trips. That or I would get a 70 mpg hybrid.
