Gas Mileage

I am looking at a 2004 Tacoma Crew cab 4x4..What fuel mileage are you guys getting out of ya'lls..I have a 1995 T-100 4x4 that I am getting 19-20 on Hwy 16 around town and 18 with bth hwy and town driving..Should I get the same...Thanks

If driven in the same manner as your T-100, I'd say you'll get a bit better mpg. Mainly because of less weight, and less aerodynamic drag, due to the smaller frontal area.

depends on where you live... If it's in L.A. for example... you'll be lucky to hit 16mpg....

True dat Grimpy, I don't miss the traffic in So Cal at all. I lived just outside of Orange County for 11 years. I find it more enjoyable when you visit, and then leave the congestion.

Hard to say i have an 2002, same generation and with my snug top lid the most i got was 20 on a good day.

I bought it..With 80% HWY and 10% around town..I got 18.5 on the fisrt tank...Not bad..The smaller size is different compared to the T-100...Nice driving truck..

i drive 75% highway and 25% city and can very from 18-20.. drive it with some sense and it should be too bad. if you get less than 17 i would look into getting a new fuel filter, plugs and seafoam treatment.. oh and clean the maf sensor

btw i have the same generation 2002 4x4 tacoma extra cab
