FZJ80 springs on 4runner
#121
Any new pics or impressions?
I'm trying to decide what to do with my current 891's and stock cone-
1. Remove cone and add 1" Cornfed spacer
2. Buy 892's and hope they aren't too stiff
3. Buy FJ80 front coils and hope the lift isn't too much

Wow, I just stumbled upon this thread. Im suprised I didn't see it earlier!!!
I bought Andy's springs, I think he was over it
I didn't realize all you guys have been putting them in! Im stoked to hear that they have been good to you.
I'll be putting mine on next week sometime. I wanted to get them so I could match my front. I'll be putting 2" coil spacers on them as well.. EEEEeekkk...
I'll also need to buy some longer shocks... The rear of the 4runner definetly isint setup for all this lift.

I just got back from Moab. I ran Prichett Canyon with this set up. I personally like this set up better than the 891's I had. They are not as stiff, they articulate very well and just plain ride better on and off road.

I pulled out my LC 80 coils from a 96 this weekend and I'm going to swap in some LX450 coils I picked up from a 97. I'm hoping they give me a little less rear lift. At least less than the 4.5" I got from the 80's. I'll let you know.

Thanks guys. I'm wondering about the difference b/n Andy's and Jims-7 wraps vs. 8. I guess at a junkyard I'll know to look for 7. Maybe they are LX450 springs that have the 7?

Are you running limiting straps or anything in the rear? Or are you just letting the shocks be your limiting strap??
I currently have mine disco'd be have not been wheeling with it yet, i cant say that i notice too much of a difference, i'm use to it since i havent had my front sway bar connected for 8 months.
