FSM's...97/98...difference?

FSM's...97/98...difference?
Im looking for some FSM's..and the ones ive found for ebay have varied. The one for 1998 T4R has Vol 1&2, and the 97 only has 1. Any particular reason why? Looks like the 98 has split up the sections into 2 volumes rather than one.
Am i missing out on much if i get the 97 1 volume FSM? as far as i know..theyre pretty much the same from 96-98? I've got a 98.
