Question front and rear diff swap

i have a 86 4cyl toy p/u, and i have a friend with a newer v6 toy p/u who needs 4.30 gears for his front end, i have a centersection in my garage that came out of a rear axle and was wondering if the two are interchangable, ive tried finding out info from various websites but i figured id ask some fellow toy owners, any info would be very helpful, thanks

I bet if you looked at the truck rather than the website, things would be abundantly clear.

As Anthony said, no.

it's only possible on solid axle trucks. pickups and 4runners made after 1985 had a 7.5 inch diff in the front instead of the 8"
