Are front lower control arm bushings interchangeable (front/back)?

They have different part numbers and as far as I could tell visually the only difference is the rear has a two rubber markers and the bushings facing the front have one solid rubber marker along the edge. That is the only distinguishing feature I could gather.

I'm asking because I asked a shop to press out the old ones and put in the new ones for me and instructed them to maintain the correct placement. They of course put the bushing that was supposed to be in the front on the back end of the control arm (on one of the control arms). Should I get them to press them back out and redo it? If they do press them back out won't it ruin the bushings since it will strain the rubber?

Can't catch one break from a shop around here.

Going to call a dealership and see if they can offer any insight? Anybody know anything about this?

I haven't changed out my FCAB's yet so I cannot say with 100% certainty but I could not see what the difference in the two could be. I would take it back to the shop though and see if they will swap it without damaging them. They should have metal sleeves on the OD that the shop "should" match to one of their press dies that should not damage the new ones but that's a respectable shop.

Thanks robb, I spoke to a service manager at Toyota and he told me to just leave them as is as it was his opinion I would not run into any issues. I did not want to take the chance of them lying to me that they pressed them back out right and further aggravating the issue or making it worse. Now to find someone that will do a decent alignment...

Just a learning experience I had. I took my truck to get aligned and they did it and I paid and left. Got home to file the paperwork and realized they charged me for a 4-wheel alignment. Nothing is adjustable in our rear, so they should only be doing a "front end" alignment and charging accordingly
