front bumper removal.....

okay guys, having some real trouble with this front bumper on my 97 4runner(doing a 1" lift today ) anyways, I got the four bolts on the frame off perfectly, no problems whatsoever. Next is the wheel well bolts...well, first off I put some liquid wrench rust whatever on it first because it looked like a flimsy mount that could be damaged if the bolts didn't come off easy. We'll, that was just the case, i started to loosen them, and it didn't feel bad, until they wouldn't come off anymore and i looked and the bracket and stuff is bent......I don't really care at this point and just want these $@#$%@ off, and on the other side, the bolt was so rusted that it just stripped with the first turn. Any ideas?

actually, I plan on gettin a new front bumper this summer anyways......and i noticed that the wheel well screws attatch at the lower plastic part......think i could just cut where it attaches because the frame mounts would hold it on.....its bent anyways from an accident.

I never put my wheelwell bolts back in after doing my BL (lost one, broke one), so your probably okay to cut off the mounting tab, especially if you're getting a new bumper soon anyway.

thanks.....and i know this is completely different, but I didn't want to make a new thread and clutter stuff.......but I got the bumper off....but I went to loosen the rag joint, and same thing, I'm scared I'm going to strip the bolts, they are really rust and old. and would anyone happen to know what size the rag joint bolts are? That would help me out ALOT. Thanks!
