Has anyone successfully used the 90 degree union (Yota part # 90904-04001) on the front differential of a 2nd generation 4Runner? if so, How?

 

Nope.

I convinved my brother to feed in a straight bard that had a little bit of the end chewed off with the Dremel, I couldn't get my fat hands in there.

It is really a tight fit in there, good luck!

 

I tried w/ no luck. I am going to try to find something that will fit at the hardware store.

 

I did my front breather with the Nissan part that is in most of the write ups. I forget the # but I think its on Coreys Mods page. It just barely fit under the oilpan. Its the same on all the early IFS from 86-95. With the 3.0 motor I think the oilpan hangs just a little lower than the 4 cyl motors. Many people have had to trim the end off of a straight fitting to get it in.

 

i used the nissan part on the front and it did fit (though just barely)

ps....if anyone has any info on transmission breathers it would be greatly appreciated

 

I used a barbed fitting from a hardware store that I had to cut shorter. It took a while and some sanding of the threads but I got it in there. Its a tight fit but it works.
