Found a few extra ponies today...

Did a "Seafoam" treatment, replaced my 100,000 mile old Bosche Platinum +4's with new Bosche Platinums (single electrode), replaced a 2 year old fuel filter and a new air filter. Gave up on the PCV...man is that buried in there. The old girl ain't as slow any more.

The last plug on the passenger's side is easy once you remove the charcoal evaporation canister.

934RNR is right about dropping the transfer case crossmember on one side...It makes the task a lot easier.

Taking a trip this weekend...We'll se if the 18.8 mpg improves a little.

Glad to hear that she's runnin' right. I'm still a little weary of putting seafoam into a running intake, but I'm glad it worked for ya. I totally agree with dropping the crossmember to get to the fuel filter. I mentioned that method in a recent write up I did on replacing the 2nd gen fuel filter and got flamed for it.

You weren't flamed on this board, I hope...Probably Pirate or one of the others.

How's your port & polish working out? Did you do both the heads & intake? Much difference in HP or torque? What about the TB?

The port and polish is my favorite mod to date. Between 3200-4500 rmp I know have a very impressive powerband. The hp gain was definately noticable and worthwhile (IMO). Just my intake manifold and plenum are ported and polished (not the heads). My T-body is bored 3mm. But as soon as my intake gets dirty, it seems like I loose all the hp gained by the p&p. I have to clean it regularly.
