Fixed that squeaky cluch pedal

I have a 97 4runner with the dreaded squeaky clutch. Someone here posted how to change the plastic bushing. This probably the most "right" way to fix the problem.

I took the lazy way out. I used some chain lube and sprayed where the spring goes in on both ends. Whallla, not more squeaky clutch & it feels lighter too. Don't know how permanent the quet clutch is, but for now I can sit back and have a few

better get another can and maybe an extra spring or pedal. That bushing is there for a reason, to reduce the friction and prevent the metal-to-metal contact and wearing the metal down on either the spring or the seat on the pedal the spring sits in. It's easy to replace the bushing and if you don't want to do that then just remove the torsion spring and put in a regular spring from ACE like everybody else has been doing.
