Fitting 285's

The tires on my '98 are about gone, so time for new shoes! I was planning on 265's, but thought about trying to fit 285's.

Would they fit with just a 1" spacer lift? If not, what about a 1" spacer and '99 coils? 1" spacer, '99 coils and a 1" BL?

Im trying to figure out whats the minimum lift you need to run 285's, so hopefully this can turn into a good info page.

Thanks

EDIT: Did some researching and it looks like I could probably fit them on my stock rig.

I may or may not rub on my upper control arm. Some people have, but it looks like most of them were running the 5-star limited wheels, or their alignment was out of wack.

I have a line on a set of Lc wheels so I wouldnt have that problem. But then I may run into a rubbing problem on the pinch weld? Im off to research more on that now.
