that screen fits really well in there. Did you have to fab some mounting brackets?
And how much did it cost?

Actually I got the Maxx 8's. Im not sure what the difference is but thats what I ordered and this is what I got.

that screen fit right where the sttock cd player was. All I had to do was cut out some plastic on the stock piece with a razor so it would fit flush. I asked a local car audio place how they install screens and they said superglue. I found some really high strength superglue with an activator spray that worked well.

Thanks guys for the replies.

Does the stereo blocking the vents bother you at all? It would bother me in the heat of the summer.

I got the screen from a buddy for free by trading some of my brother's stuff for it while he's in California. The screen just glues to the back of the plastic surround. I had to cut a little bit off the back of the surround so the screen would fit flush but it wasn't hard. I went to Freeman's Car Stereo and they told me that they always glue the screens in.

Its alright right now. Im living in constant below 40 temps for the next few months so it wont bother me too bad. I blocked off the supply to those two vents so all the air comes out the side two so im not losing any of the supply. I imagine it will get on my nerves a little in the summer but i usually roll with my windows down and no A/C anyways.

Yo ssbogger; I ain't trying to get on you or nothing, but you have the Helo Maxx 6's...unless I'm not seeing the pictures that well. They look like the six spoke design, which are the Helo Maxx 6's. They do make a Helo Maxx 8 that has eight spokes. Usually they are on fullsize Chevy's and Hummer's with an 8 lug pattern. However, you can get the Helo Maxx 8's with a 6 lug pattern. (Since I'm done preaching, j/k). Your truck looks awesome! I gotta wait on my rims for a lil while now. I kissed a tree offroading. Again, great truck. later

First off, the wheels are the Maxx6 because I almos bought those as well. Did LOTS of research on those. The company that makes them is actually in So. Cal and they sell the Maxx6 in 16x8 for $104 each. Pretty cheap for a nice wheel.

Second... the truck looks great. However, you should sell the Sony headunit, put your vents back in and then invest in a carputer. That way, you can have everything you Sony headunit has, plus DVD, plus Nav, plus MP3, wireless internet, etc... for about $400. You already have the screen and that's half the cost. If you want more info on carputers, go to www.mp3car.com

Nice truck.
