Well today while in the process of bleeding my brakes and checking my rear shoes i noticed the axle seal monster came to pay me a visit. I had had seriously reduced braking power, so i suspected brake fluid since mine is extremely old, but when I got to the left rear drum, i noticed alot of fluid i had never seen before. yes we all know that feeling. Well i knew what had happened so i preceeded to fix the problem, pulled out the axle and low and behold the axle was BENT and had a groove in it and my bearing was shot. Luckily the yota stealership was open and i am now in the process of fixing what the present the monster left me. thank God for all these axle seal writeups .........
the moral of the story.. fix your seals before the axle seal monster gets you... im at 132867K miles.. probabaly inaccurate b/c of the lift, but you get the picture.
