my tires are rubbing so I am going to trim the front fenders back a little bit. What is the best way to go about this? Also is it possible to cover where you cut the fender with some sort of flare so it will match my stock fender flares in the back? (don't want to do the bushwacker cut out flares, way to expensive)

 

The problem on your truck is usually actually the body seam. Have you pounded it yet? What you need to do is cut out the bottom of the fender liner behind the tire. You will see a body seam. take the front tires off and pound this seam with a mallet until flat. This should cure your probs. Have you cranked your t-bars yet? I have a '92 by the way. I used an angle grinder with a cutting disk to cut mine.

 

If he pulled the plastic lining out and then pounded where he needed to couldnt he take and heat the plastic up so he could flatten it? Seems like that would look ok if it would work. Blue

 

I guess it would work if you are more patient than me! I kinda tried that but the plastic wanted to return to its original position even after the heat. Then it gets grabbed by the tire and makes a noise that is worse than the original rubbing. I've hacked mine now, so it's water under the bridge for me, but a more patient person could probably come up with a better way. The gap it leaves back to the firewall sure sucks and an alternative would be nice. I am thinking about a way to fill this gap and make it look good. If I do, look for a writeup on toyotaoffroad.com.
