Engine's OUT (hourly update continues)

Well, I got the engine out just a few minutes ago. I employed my uncle since he was willing to help. It sure does go faster with another man on the team. I pulled it out, with the torque converter still attached. Luckily, didn't loose much fluid at all. Luckily I was able to break all 1 one of the torque converter's bolts loose. The only tough one was the one up at the top where the exhaust crossover pipe is. If you're wondering why I'm not turning the motor over so I can access them, it's because there's a hole on each side of the block, where something seemed to have gone wrong, and left the engine locked up tight! I'll take some pictures in the morning. Hopefully by tomorrow at this time the new engine will be in the truck. I'm not optimistic enough to say it will be running, but at least it should be in there. I'm happy with that!

Ahh the 90 of course. I'd have a cow if the 99 was having engine problems. I picked up the 90 a couple weeks back as a "project."

That's right, I remember when you got that one. I was hoping it was NOT the 99. That would have really surprised me!

Cool man, post some pics when you can!

Looks like a good candidate for a 3.4L swap, you threw a rod, the hole is from the broken end punching out....
