Emergeny Help

My MAF or AVM or whatever I have on my truck is broken. Please don't ask me how, I did a dumb thing. Anyway, now I need a new one. A local shop has one for $50. Is there any other that will fit on my truck other than the stock one? I heard about the supra one fitting, and it being better.
Any info?
PLease hurry, I need to get it today.

I don't know too much about toyota MAF's.... but as far as MAF's go in general... that is a steal. I paid $200 for a rebuilt one for my 300ZX. New one was $400.

Given that you have someone that will sell you a drop-in replacement for $50, I'd go for it.

The Supra MAF is "better" because it has less stuff in the way of the air coming through. BUT it's not a drop-in replacement. You'll need a piggy-back computer (or a hack) to adjust the voltages coming off of it in order to make it work.

$50 is _cheap_ for a MAF... If you looking for something "better", it will end up costing you a LOT more. Your best bet is to spend the $50, don't repeat what you did to the first one, and then look deeper at the Supra mod to understand what it takes.

Gadget's site is a good resource for that info... He talks about it here: http://www.gadgetonline.com/fuel.htm
