Electrical Issues

Hi all, this is my first post so thank you for adding me. I'm having a particularly odd electrical behavior. First, my fuel pump would not respond and I found out that putting the key into the "on" position and not hearing it turn on is normal behavior for the Toyota (US manufactured cars have an audible pump noise in the ON position). That lesson was learned after I replaced the pump. Upon hot-wiring leads directly from the battery to the two pump posts that are found underneath the back seat of the 4Runner, we were able to make it work.

Anyhow, now, the vehicle's battery is having major issues. I've charged the battery multiple times, changed the battery, and yet there is draw from the battery. The bench test worked with the alternator and each of the batteries were tested before replacement were tested OK as well. I'm getting draw when it is off and I don't know where to start.

I should mention that I did jump the battery once and some of the fuses and one of the major relays failed and I had to replace. Are there tips/tricks to isolate this issue?

About the only good way to test for current draws is to start pulling fuses with the key off, and then check amperage between the terminals.
