hello, new guy onboard
question of the day is to do with my `92 4r w/22re/5spd. oh! and 300,000km too. question is as follows, intermitantly, very shortly after start-up hot or cold after driving for about a 1/4 km the engine will not accelerate under a load. the problem will clear out above 3000 rpm. engine will idle find, just wont rev up. problem will also clear up after about 5 min. aswell and stay running fine for as long as i drive the truck. i bought the truck 100,000km ago and has always been a little hesitant right after start-up but never a real problem thought it was part of the cold start/warm-up cycle. checked c/r,coolant level,egr(disconnected it) plugs are fairly new,k&n. engine will always run fine at first then run amuck. also, no codes or engine light coming on. replaced o2 sensor about(not aboot lol)i1 month before trouble started. any suggestions welcome. thanks, Colin

Leaking cold start injector, cold start injector time switch faulty? Couple possibilities anyway.
Just guessing

 

Mine did this in 2nd gear after start up. don't know what fixed it since I just did a head rebuild and everything tune-up wise is new.

 

thanks guys. one more thing, simptoms will go away and come back again after 1/4 km if i restart engine while problem is occuring.
