Dropped my head off at Engnbldr on Thursday
I'm all giddy about seeing how my 20r responds to the new cam and valves.
I have to wait about two weeks for results (he's rather swamped ATM). but that's OK because the X-roomate finally came back and cleaned a bunch of his crap out of the garage this week, so I now have room to set up the engine stand and begin yarding parts off the doner block. (I have this wild-hair type idea about polishing the head, valve cover, and timing cover to a mirror finish before the head swap...but we'll see how modivated I am when it come down to it!)

2 weeks huh. I was wondering what kind of turn around he had. Should be good work though. I'd trust him a lot more than DOA. I still haven't heard anything good about DOA.

Yeah.. he was real helpful-like, taking plenty of time to discuss the little Toy 4 banger, and edjumicating me on the finer points of the differences in the various incarnations. Definately good people from my impression.

>>>*Now I know why Tod was hinting that I go back there and help him...*LOL**...Last time I checked the board he had 8 full engines going on, several various combinations, two for racing and one 143H/P longblock..busier than a one-armed wallpaper hanger..
*Course being old and lazy I wished him good luck, suggested his working Saturday and Sunday and went home...
*But two weeks? That is rare, hope you didn't tell him "No hurry", he does believe folks when they say that...*EB

I did tell him 'no rush', and I meant it. There's still a few things I need to do before I set about doing the head swap, and since I'm on 9Hr days plus an OT saturday, I don't have much free time to get ready.
