Driver's Side Door Lock Popper

Driver's Side Door Lock Popper
The door lock popper has been worn out on my driver's side door of my 2000 4Runner for quite some time. The remote FOB broke while my wife was driving it and we've been using just the key for quite some time. But with the work I'm doing these days I often have my hands full and I'd like to be able to pop the locks and open the door to dump gear quickly. I've considered getting a remote start/alarm system that would replace the FOB but I still need to fix the door lock popper.
Is going with a used unit a good idea? Would it be hard to get from a donor truck and install in this one? If that's not a good idea any idea what a dealership would charge for the part and installation?
Any help would be appreciated. If you have the part to sell please email

Thanks a bunch.

I replaced my rear door lock actuator, it was a little difficult working in the tight space, but it was do-able.
Doing a quick search, it looks like a new front door lock actuator will run you about $100 new and $50 used.
I would guess the dealer would charge at least 1hr, but probably 2hrs.

New part prices I go to www.1sttoyotaparts.com.
For your part, look in the OEM catalog under: FRONT DOOR> Lock & hardware > Actuator
For used part prices I check ebay, but you might be able to get cheaper prices at the junk yard.
