Does gearing affect your speedo/odo?
#23
Thought I'd post my experience:
2000 4Runner V6 AT 4.10 285s v. 2000 4Runner V6 AT 4.88 285s
Over a 50 mile trip, they recorded the same mileage on the trip odometer but different speeds on the speedometer while traveling the same speed.
Basically, the odometers read the same, the speedos read differently.

in other words, a regear will "fix" the speedo (unless you overcompensate like using 4.88's on 285's), but won't fix the odo (this is based on a difference in tire size from the original size).
