Unfortunatly I have to agree with everybody else. I HAVE TO HAVE ONE. My buddy the toyota tech has a F250 crewcab with the 7.3 TDI. We use it to plow snow with. You can't stop those things period. Slow off the line but once you get them going they are bad a$$. I think it is because I drive that beast and then get into my 22re and I swear I can run faster than my truck. Saving pennies as we type. Don't worry going to keep the Toy as a play Toy.

LMAO at some of y'all complaining................
Y'all act like TOYOTA's are everything to die for.
To answer MEMPHIS' question:
In any event, a DIESEL engine will outlive any GAS engine.
The comparisons don't even match up.
True, TOYOTA's do have longevity, but DIESELS have four times the amount of that.
They are simply cleaner burning engines..........
My dad has '96 FORD F-350 with 193,000 miles on it and it's running near perfection. He leaves it running for an hour, A/C full blast, right under 105 degrees of temperature and the temperature stays at 1/4. Amazing.
The power these trucks have are also mindblowing, not to mention the torque.
While some of you spend hurrendous amounts of cash trying to mod your YOTA or adding more HP and what not, the FORD has three times the amount of that.
Now, don't me wrong, I'd love to own a TACOMA - SUPERCHARGED and the whole nine, since I've heard good things about them, but while there are others out there with three times the amount of that, I rather go with that. But that's just me...............

You brag about the insane amounts of power these trucks have. What exactly are you going to be doing that you need it? I know some people do need it, but I doubt the majority here need anything close to it. You probably have these grand plans of doing all these things that you couldn't do with your yota.
190,000 miles on a ford? That's an anomaly. You can't even argue that a ford is going to consistantly get that kind of mileage.
And don't even get me started on the interior. Their interior designers are the worst ever. They are butt ugly.
Do I sound like a fanboy, maybe so, but this is a Toyota board. You want to discuss fords without other people complaining, go to a ford board. What a novel idea.

I've had too many friends buy them and couldn't be any more displeased about their purchasing decision. Yeah, go on buy that monster, you'll be wishing you had your smaller vehicle back. I just came over from a much larger vehicle, and they suck! You can't maneuver them around like you can the Yotas (never driving a Sequoia, so I can speak for those). It doesn't seem like it's that big of a deal, and when you drive them for just a little while, it's really not all that bad. Constantly struggling with it gets old as time goes on.

As for dodge... yeah... they might be pretty, but its still a pos, you might as well go get a jeep.
Its like a ferrari, it might be pretty, but whats the point if its goint to constantly have problems?? As for Fords, unless its got a desiel, don't touch it. Their desiels are pretty damn sweet, but as mentioned, whats a sweet eninge with an interior that won't stay togeather. Its like a WRX, yeah its fast as hell, nice running gear, but it feels like the interior costed 50 cents to make. Personally I would rather have the new chevy HD with the Duramax and the allison tranny. We have one at work and that thing could pull just about anything. My boss is all about GM desiels. We have a 3500 Savannah GMC 15 Passenger van to take people down to the lake, the truck, and we used to have a 2500 suberban too. That was my favorite car... CIA mobile. But now GM decided to be stupid and not offer the Duramax in the Suberban grrr... Personally I guess I'm a GM guy except I could kinda go for a super duty they are just too damn big. and a Tundra is big enough for anything i will have to tow so I would go that wroute if ever needed. There is no V8 thats smoother, and with a borla available from the factory... doesn't get much better than that. Oh yeah, and I almost forgot, you can supercharge the V8s now, so thats PLENTY of power...
Just my opnion and .02

The Dodges and Fords might look nice but they'll be looking nice in the junkyards when my 'yota is still running. They abandon quality and that's why I got the Toyota. And I gotta say that it's GREAT not fixing things anymore. Especially those annoying electrical problems.

[EDIT]I agree with Cebby, this thread needs to be moved to Off-Topic.
