This whole thing just proves that most girls don't know the first thing about cars/trucks. My ex-girlfriend used to call the wheels on her car the tire, like it was all the same thing. I mean c'mon. My sister summed it up when she said: "I don't want to know anything about cars. All I want to know is that when I put the key in it will start." So there you go.

ROFL @ Corey!

To bad they have laws protecting little kids
That's the first time someone has called my rig a car.
I call mine a truck.

I don't know tho, I mean what is the definition of car vs. truck. case in point el camino. WTF is that? Car or Truck.

I hate it when people call my pickup an SUV, stupid ignorant yuppies... I've even had one guy (highschool age) call it a Hummer, and he was immediately corrected by his girlfriend.

I call mine a truck and a rig. I totally agree with tailgate point, and since mine is an 87 and the top comes off, it really is a truck. The only way it could be more of a truck is if it was one of those few industrial models that didn't come with carpet in the back, then I could put 500lbs of manure in without messing much up. But just remember that anyone who argues with you about it being a truck is just jealous and wants to make themselves feel better

RIG

I use that name more often than anything else when I refer to my vehicle to someone else.

Perhaps I should get vanity plates that say RIG on them
They are probably already taken in my state.

Definitely a truck.....

The early 4runners looked like pickup trucks that were covered...can't deny the roots.

I call it a truck more often than a 4runner, noone has argued with me YET. After all, it does have a tailgate like other people have said.

Truck

Rig

Runner

While someone was laying on the ground beneath the front of his runner, I said, "Has he got a problem with his outfit?" I was greated with a WTF sort of look. I also call trucks outfits.

When I am at home, the garage holds 2 4-Runners, a Sequoia and a RAV4. When I go in to town for parts, I would say:
1) I am taking the Silver truck (Sequoia)
2) I am taking the Purple truck (97 Runner)
3) I am taking my outfit (95 Runner)
4) I am taking the Jelly Bean (RAV4)

One Expedition I saw when I was out in L.A. a few months ago had a vanity plate that said "GW TRUX". Maybe we should all do something like that.

I call it a truck, my wife sometimes calls it a jeep, then I slap her and she corrects herself . My tax statement and insurance co. call it a station wagon.

I also agree... "truck" is the most correct

Suv makes me think of a couple kids jumping in at the grocery store on they're way to practice!

Trucks go offroad, carry tools and tow toys!!

SUV"s can have transverse mounted engine, trucks cannot.
~SUV's are also sometimes Fwd....trucks are always available 4wd

Trucks have lift kits, suv's have O G bawler rims

and finally...trucks have to pull out SUV's on mountain passes because the soccer mom driving it couldn't resist the urge to speed because she has "4 wheel drive" ~ my Xmas trip to washington state proved this...

Truck

It's a TRUCK, it's parents were trucks and it's grandparents were trucks, that makes it a truck.

It does have some 'all wheel drive station wagon' cousins though (Hilander & Rav4) maybe some people confuse the family connections.

But no use correcting them..."where ignorance is bliss, it is folly to be wise"

The wife and I both call it a truck, probably because we're too lazy to enunciate the three syllable term "SUV"
