Discos

Does anyone have any experience with Rockstomper discos? They look pretty beefy. I've heard of some disconnects clicking and generally being noisy. Is there something else made that is better?

Nuke's Quick Disconnects.

If you want to look at other options, check out this thread from ODW.

I have heard about how Nuke's are really hard to get since they are made by a guy in his garage in his spare time. The Rockstomper ones rattle and tick as the rings bounce off of the main shaft on every bump. Lots of people have broken the RS ones at one of the heim joint thingys. They have to be custom made to fit your vehicle and ammount of lift you have. RS is just 2 overwhelmed guys in a shop, you may have to wait a while for them also. No one mass produces swaybar discos for 4Runners that I know of.

I read the thread from ODW and checked out the nuke's. They don't look too complicated to make. Another possible winter project - at this rate, I may never come out of my shop.

I have Rockstompers on my runner, in fact you can see my rusty a-arms on Scott's site with the fresh red discos on.

I have been very pleased with them thus far, ~25k miles.

When they are not tight, they click. Mine are now tight and the problem is solved. I have been trying to break them, but no luck yet.

Happy trails,
Adrian
