Disassembling hub for axle replacement
I need your knowledge! I'm replacing the axle shafts on my 93 and I've already broken loose the inboard bolts before raising the truck. Removed the tire, placed the hub in the "free" setting and removed the cover. Now the Haynes manual says the next step is to remove a snap ring, but as soon as I have the cover off there is a bolt head there that appears to be threaded directly into the end of the axle shaft. The Haynes manual doesn't show this. So what's next? I assume I remove the bolt, but what do I pull out next? With the bolt removed will I be able to see the snap ring that locks the axle in place? When I try to turn the bolt to loosen it the whole axle rotates, do I need to loosen it with the hub locked and the truck resting on the tire? I'm a little confused and don't want to screw up. I just need detail from as soon as the hub cover is off until the axle is removed. Thanks in advance everyone.

Remove the bolt, 14mm I want to say.
Then take off the hub by removing the 6 12mm bolts and cone washers.
Once the hub is off, you will see the snap ring. I found mine to be a bugger, but it is pretty straightforward.
I did mine with the tire on just for convenience sake. I uncranked my t-bars all the way and compressed the tire on the side I was doing before dropping the front diff.
