Dikkheads and chewing gum

Well I got home from work and do a cursory walk-around and I have strings of chewing gum on my left rear rim and down my left rear quarter panel

Why can't people put that crap in a trash can???

I'd read that the Speedshine was good for bird doo. So I break out the Griots Speedshine and microfiber towel and proceed to not only, very successfully, clean the chewing gum off my truck, but went ahead and did the whole thing since it went on and off so easy. Way easier than the McGuires stuff. And the truck looks just washed and waxed!

So, another testimonial for Griots and particularly, the Speedshine in this case.

Thanks again Corey!

Good testimonial Woodbert.

When I won the car show for first place in the truck category at Boeing a few years back, I had just Speed Shined the whole rig when I came into work.
I had washed it the night before though.

The Speed Shine stuff is great, and I use it to take off bird crap all the time.

Gotta watch those bottles though.
Last summer I wanted to Speed Shine the passenger side of the rig as I was doing some work on it.
I accidentally grabbed Griot's "Paint Prep" by mistake and yep, I removed all of the wax on that side by accident.

Had to break out the Best Of Show wax and do the whole side.
The Paint Prep strips everything off of your paint including the wax.

Glad the Speed Shine is working out for you.
According to Autopia's Detail forums, it's the best quick wax stuff out there.

Because it's probably the same people that fling their burning cigarette butts on my hood! They just don't care.

Woody,

Peanut butter works well too to get off gum and wax.

I can't stand when people empty their ash tray's out at red lights. They dump like 200 cigarette butts out. Damn smokers. And gum chewers too. We should stick them all on an island somewhere.

Woody,

Yup, not kidding. If you have wax on any plastic textured body panels or rubber, grab an old toothbrush and a bit of peanut butter. Do a little brushing, wipe off with water, and be amazed.

Cool Chewing gun bandit!

I want to admit that when I have a "wad" of good ol bubbalicious in my mouth that loses its flavor I actually look for an enemies car or stupid drunk that has given me crap about kicking him out of the casino. I will not put my gum on their car being I would kill the person that did that to mine. I will put it within the path of where they will walk to get to their car. But Woody you gotta trust me, I didn't attack your rig.

Talking Snorkels are fun!

I hope your snorkel actually works. This retard from my town went to the complete trouble of hacking his fender up and sticking a "wanna B" snorkel on the side of his toy. So it is just fun when we do that to his truck. But he gets kinda mad like you.

i agree more the smokers then anything. cigarette manufactures should be bombed.

he what about this, i found a lemon on top of my truck once. I went into a store i came out and it was on the top of my 4runner. i was like where the ˟˟˟˟˟ did that come from. I looked around no one was there so i drove home and hosed off where the lemon was. i figured it couldnt be good for my paint.

Gum and cigaretts are the least of my worries here. There's nothing like going down a fresh tar and chipped road here in PA and when you get out of your truck you see a nice 2 foot sling of road tar across your door and bedside.

And their boogers too! The ones that don't eat them, that is. I see alot of these "chewers" on my way to work because I guess they think I can't see them in my rear view mirror. makes me want to get out and tell them how friggin' nasty they are, and then ask them if they lernt that from their kids.

Oh, yea, I think I ruined the Griots microfiber towel cleaning the gum off. I washed it immediately and the gum is still in the cloth.

I'll give the PB a try. One more question-

Chunky, Super crunchy or smooth??

When the thought of that comes to mind, why do I get the overly powerful impulse to grab that cigarette off of my hood and grind it out on their forehead?
