Difficult brake questions? from the Rebuilt one...

Anybody with a Pre-Runner (maybe Tundra and 4Runners do this too) don't like the modulation of their brakes besides me? What kind of brakw mods have you guys done - anybody ever heard of add-on ABS?

Doesn't your truck come standard with ABS? I've heard of adding on rear disc brakes. Is that the kinda mod your talking about?....

It's a 2000 so it was still an option, plus no ABS lights come on when I start 'er up. I was wondering had anybody ever heard of an aftermarket ABS system. a replacement for your current brakes or just an add-on. I don't think it can be done, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

None I would trust. I have seen some odd "accumulator something or other" installed in customers vehicles, come in the shop. No wires that I recall, some gadget that the customer calls there ABS. *shrugs*

Any ABS that I would even consider purchasing aftermarket, would really have to impress me with technology, and I could only imagine what the cost of something like that would have to be.

In my opinion, best idea I have is to trade in your vehicle for one with ABS.
