I have a 2WD 3rd gen that sits pretty level after a 3" Revtek lift. I was thinking that at times the rear looks lower when the pavement's not flat.

I figured that 4WD springs would add some additional height in the rear and give me a slight "raked" look. I bought some 4WD springs from Ducky and went to install them. When I pulled out my stock rear springs, they're the same exact height as the 4WD springs I just bought. I'm thinking WTF!!!!

My truck is a '99 but it's not a 4WD. I thought the extra height in the 99's was only for the 4WD. Am I wrong? Does this mean that my front springs are the same height as 4WD springs also? Doesn't make sense to me unless I got another pair of 2WD springs. Please help.

 

1996-1998 had shorter coils. One complete wrap less.

Some late 1998's got the 99 coils, some early 2000's got the 99 coils.

Most of the 2000's and all of the 01-02 have one complete wrap less.

The difference between 2WD and 4WD is 1". So a 99 2WD rear coil and a 1996-1998 or a 2001-2002 4WD will be the same.

If you want longer coils, you would have to get the 99 4WD rears and that 99 4WD would have had to come from the factory with 16" wheels.

What does this "Ducky" have?

 

Well yeah.........., 2001 4WD rear coils ARE THE SAME as 99 2WD coils. They lowered the 2001 an inch.

Should have asked me. You want 1999 4WD V6, 16" Wheel, 4WD rear coils.

 

Thanks. I just figured the 2WD wouldn't have gotten the extra coil. What an idiot. Oh well, I guess I'll put them up on the board but I don't see a bunch of people jumpin' on them.

Steve, can you confirm that my front 2WD springs are the same height as the other model's (96-98, 01-02) 4WD springs?

 

Yes they are since they are from a 99.

If you want front 99 4WD, V6, 16" wheel coils, they are: Part# 48131-35400 & 48131-35350

You should get your sliders from us, how about a square main beam with a round tube SKO design? Pretty slick.....

Steve, thanks for the part numbers. I'm thinking that the 99 coils are probably as tall as the H&R's?

If it wasn't for seeing Lance's truck in person, I really wanted to get the sliders you described but after figuring that Demello is local and can do everything including install, I went with him. For the price, you've definitely got the nicest lookin' sliders; you're just too far (shipping, finding an installer, etc.). Again, thanks for the info.

 

How many miles do the springs have on them?

I might be insterested if you are selling them.

 

They have 30k. This is what the prior seller told me.
