Custom Front Bumper Roundup- 3rd gen 4Runners
All of you that have custom bumpers on your 4Runner's...I wanna see them. Where'd you get them, who made them, how much? Do you like them? Would you change anything?
I'm in the market for a custom bumper, and need ideas. I know somebody else had a thread asking about what to include, but I want to see finished products.

Made it myself:
1 3/4" x .134 wall tubing.
Slides on easy, held on by 6 bolts per frame side
Tucks winch into grill, 55* approach angle
The site has more pics

Hey Neil, you should check out Steve's bumper as it's pretty sick! Trail tested and approved in my books
Also give Jason a buzz as he's a top notch guy too! He's always making insane stuff!

Well...I did a little homework and really set myself on Rockware's bumper like Data's, but with a few small changes. So I give them a call and they're over 2 months out!! Yikes! Not only would I have to wait 2 months, but I'd have to drive to CO (not big deal).
Soo...I had to un-sell my ARB..like a royal ass, and I'm back to square 1.

Salinas is a lot closer than CO from Grass valley! Wayne Hanson of hanson Enterprise made out tacoma bumper and it can be modified to fit a 4Runner.
Wayne has been making the best bumpers in the indusrty for many years. He's a favorite of early Bronco guys.

John, you are thinking of zedex.
Neil, I agree with Sean, there's no need to travel out here. Any decent fab shop will be able to use the same design you're looking for, and I'm sure you have more than enough to choose from out there. That's the whole idea of custom: they'll work off your requirements.

Thanks for all the input guys.
I dig this, a lot. I could still mount my Hella 4000's if I ran an external solenoid winch. Made to fit a 2" body lift, of course.

the badlands bumper is going to stick out nearly as far as the arb did at least at the top. if you go to there web-site you can see some pretty good profile shots, that said, i still like the badlands more than the ARB and you can get it with a smooth plate top, not the diamond plate stuff.

I was looking at these bumpers when I had my XJ. Sweet, strong and have great approach angles. They don't make anything for Toyotas, but they might. If not, there is at least a bunch of photos you can use for ideas.
