Curious

Does anyone here know why Toyota decided to drop the front end clearance from 11.8" to 9.8"? They lead the class for nearly 20 years in the clearance department and now they decide to lower it. They totally rebuilt the 4Runner from the ground up and it has more now than ever, minus the ground clearance. So we who own the 4th generation need to go out and spend money and time to get a lift just to have the stance like our brothers.

What were the engineers at Toyota thinking?

Just a gripe that I needed to vent about.

With the rise of SUV popularity Toyota probable reprioritized and slightly changed their philosophy to make a better behaving urban assault vehicle.
