I'm having a hell of a time with my cruise control in my 93 automatic.. my girlfriend got me a remote starter for christmas and since i put it in my cruise control won't kick in... The "cruise" light comes on and if i hit accel it comes out of over drive but it just won't hold a speed. I checked all of the connections and wires that I could see but i found nothing. The only thing that I can think of is the brake light wire is connected to the remote starter to shut it off... it does the same for the cruise control too i'm pretty sure. Any help that you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated... thanks

 

yup, one of the things that kicks out of CC is the brake light switch.

make sure you are not completing that circuit after the remote starter kicks in...
