crank/cam shaft seal replacement...

I've searched and found a couple hits. I need to ask...
1stly, I'm doing the timing belt R&R on my 95 V6, 153K miles. The belt has been changed once already. (yep, changing out a few other things while I'm in there)

With the idlers, T-stat, belts & hoses, (w/p has 22K on it, leaving it alone) I am also planning on changing the cam seals & crank seal.

Is there a special trick or makeshift tool, from experience, of getting these old seals out?

With installion of seals, same question? I read here, someone had a leak from his crank seal he installed and a tech fixed it, saying something about it was not all the way in. One sure way of knowing, I "guess" is to see how far the old ones are inserted prior to removal. Just making sure I do this correctly.

Ok, I made the tool to hold the crank pulley for remove/install of the bolt.
I imagine I'll need to rent or by a chain/strap wrench to hold the cam pulley's, unless, there's a place on the eng as to stick something through the gear to hold it from turning for remove/install of bolt. Just don't want to up something by putting a bind on the shaft.

Thx for any help on my specific questions.

when i changed mine out, I just jammed a flathead screwdriver between the rubber and seal metal and worked it out. Putting them back in was a delicate dance with a rubber hammer to get the to square up. Just drive them in the same distance as the old one, i believe it is flush, and they shouldn't leak. Good luck!
