i finally took off my tail light guards because they had rust that i noticed spread (a small tiny little dot) to the paint... but even that little dot was enough to convince me i didnt need these things.

i removed them last night when it was pretty dark with relatively little problem (the screws were tough and rusty, but eventually gave ). this morning i went out to see what i thought of the bare tail and saw that the whole time i had those guards on (came with my truck when i bought it), theyd been covering up a crack in the passenger side taillight. :pat:

ill take a pic later if necessary, but is there a problem with this? will rain get in and damage anything? i dont want to ghetto-fy my truck with red tape.. so where can i get a cheap passenger side taillight?

Ebay is your best shot followed by a junkyard.
I would replace it but that is just me.

i picked up a set of tails here on the boards for $20 bucks. they were brand new in the toyota boxes also
