I have coil spacers in my rear coils, I put them in one of the bottom twist thingys of the spring, they've been there for a long time now and do help keeping it from being to much lower in the rear. I was curious though, if I were to install another spacer at the top.. that wouldn't leave very much free moving spring left, although I'm sure the spacers mush a little bit on bumps and stuff.. would this be bad? I know it'd be stiffer..

Question for ya wouldnt putting so many spacers make your truck reallystiff and bouncy??? my 99 truck is stiff enough. i was just curious though

 

Sounds to me like you have trim packers, not coil spacers. Coils spacers are a whole different ball game. They just go on top of the spring (not inside the spring) and the spring keeps the same rate and length of travel, its just physically longer. That is where the lift comes from. Coil spacers are hard and do not compress...

 

Just spend 120 bucks and get a pair of OME's. spacers cost almost the same as new springs.

 

So having to many rubber packers would not only make it stiffer, but limit the amount of spring movement. I was just wondering if this would be bad for anything?

One day I will just get downey hd's, but I can't right now.
