Go clear, blackouts are kinda lame and they dim your lights, I think you should decide for yourself though. Maybe check your local laws?

Go clear man...I have a black rig and the clears look AWESOME on it, gives it a very clean look...I think.

That all IMO so...I think you should have the final decision, if you would like I can post pics of my lenses so you can get an idea of what they would like.

Let me know man!

Go Clear! If you do, try to get the clear tails also, you'll be only one in your town/city.

Not the best picture of the clears on a black 4runner:

Are those our only options...Personally I say go with the 2002 Tail Lights...I think they look great! Take it from someone who received a ticket for the clears.

This of course is just my $.02

I hope Jason B doesn't mind me using his pictures. If you do upgrade to the 01-02 tails, you also have to make sure to buy the wiring harness since they changed that also.

I have to agree with Mike. I like the '02 tails the best. They will keep you legal and look better than the clears in my opinion. Also for the front I say go clear. The blackouts wiill probably get you pulled and I don't think they look as good as the clean appearance of the clears.

Lets remember everyone has different taste...There are those who love their Runner as a street ride and would still like to personalize it.

No one has the absolute correct answer...Do what you would like to your rig, you need only to impress yourself...no one else!

I'd go with both clear corners/blinkers and the "newer" tailights.
They would go great together.

I had blackouts on a Mustang. I thought they looked great, but it got to be a pain to take them off when it got dark out. And you do need to take them off at night, since they dim your lights so much. Now they are illegal in Minnesota and many other states, so check your local laws.

Not worth the effort IMO, go with the clears.
