Tomorrow I was thinking of spraying my engine down with the hose and checking the air intake tubing for any mud, it wont hurt to spray the engine down with a hose will it?

I've only sprayed mine off a couple of times. Both were to remove grime and some mud. I've used Gumout Engine Steam Cleaner (Spray on, Hose off). Whenever I spray the engine, I have it running. A detailer told me to do that once. Don't concentrate the water spray on the alternator or coil if you can help it.

 

I am going to try the CD2 treament on my engine today. I'll edit this post with some before and after pics if it turns out decent.

 

don't spray it when it is hot! let it cool then spray. hot things can warp when cooled too fast.

Ok, thanks for the replys. It'll definately not be hot when I spray it... I'll do it sometime this morning before I drive it, so it should be at a temperature below freezing anyway lol (well maybe not below or the hose wont work to well).

Well its nice and clean now, it finially stoped raining so I could go out there and hose it off lol.
