Cleaned the MAF Sensor yesterday...
... while I was doing some other stuff and had the battery disconnected. I live off of some dusty roads and installed an oily Amsoil filter last year, so I figured there was a good chance the MAF sensor was dirty.
I pulled it out and looked inside, but it looked clean. I figured I just bought some non-residue contact cleaner and by god I'm gonna use it! I drowned it pretty good and let it dry.
This morning I jumped into the 4Runner and man! The initial throttle response was very noticable! Now I wonder if resetting the ECU had anything to do with it? Regardless, it was a pleasant suprise. If it was the ECU, I guess the "spunk" will disappear shortly. We'll see.
