i tried lookin around but didnt see much, i have a 99 4runner auto trans, my girlfriend was driving it one day and she said it started slipping, i checked the fluid and noticed it was a little low, i added fluid and everything was fine. it never acted up when i drove it, well the other day it did it while i was on the car, and it wasnt slipping. it only happened when you would take off from a stop, and it would seem like it was slipping but if you put it into low it would be fine, shift from low up to drive and no issues, anyone else had this problem? its still doing it but the check engine light will come and go. any help would be great. thanks guys

 

The check eng lite is probably due to your trans problem. My guess is you have a bad trans solenoid and its not starting you out in first properly. Check the code and it will tell you what to repair

 

You're GF must be doing brake stands or neutral drops...
