Or, head here and buy a replacement module:

Or, in the 5th message of this thread, BruceTS points to another writeup of the mod.
I went to all the links already. Not much help for me. I don't have a lot of electronics knowledge. I was wondering if anyone has done or is considering doing (Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink.) a step by step write up of how to get turn signals that look like BruceTS's avitar. I've searched several threads for "LED" and "turn signal". Should I be searching for diff't terms?

fair 'nuff, but the link I included: http://autolumination.com/equalizers.htm, sells replacement flasher modules that you just plug in.

And the link I referenced in Bruce's post: http://www.darelldd.com/ev/rav_flasher.htm, has a pic of where the flasher module is.

No electronics knowledge necessary. Buy the module, find the old one in your truck, pull it out, plug the new one in.

For the signals themselves, Bruce gave you the part numbers, so... buy the new bulbs, remove the old ones from your signals, plug the new ones in.

I think the only tool you'll need is a Philips screwdriver and your Visa card.

Bob is going LED soon.... I'm sure he'll do a complete write-up........except he's not going to install the sequential's up front, but the oval LED units... exact same procedure.....

You'll need an aftermarket front bumper, the TJM needs to be re-welded to eliminate the square hole then recut to fit the new unit. Other than that it's a simple matter of connecting a few wires, modifying the flasher and installing the other bulbs....

Sequential Arrow Amber Led Kit $55.99

Oval Amber Led Lamp Kit $19.99....the type Bob's gonna install

thanx for the links. I'll keep an eye out for new threads. Another question though. Is $56 the price for one Sequential Arrow Amber Led or two? Shows two, but doesn't reaaly say. I looked on eBay, one seller is selling them for $49 each and another for $106 a pair (w/o shipping).

I emailed the website. They replied in less than two hours. A happy surprise since most places seem to take a couple days. Anyway, my question was answered. $56 is the price for one. The turn signals are cool, but I don't think I'm prepared to spend over $100. Going by the posts prior to #23 I was thinking like $20 for the job.

??? Just adding up the numbers in previous Bruce's list comes to $51.

You can JUST do LED inserts to replace the current bulbs and then get the LED flasher module to deal with the lower current draw, you don't have to get the sequential arrow kits...

part of the reason why bruce upgraded to the sequential lights is b/c the TJM blinker housing are not sealed. i experience mud in mine and my housing cracked at the last DV run. i am looking at a cheaper LED housing pair. look at their website and you'll see a pair for around $40 - $50, but aren't sequential

ok, so for a 96-02 4Runner, for the person that said you just swap about the flasher relay from autozone or advance, is that considered a led flasher that others are mentioning?
