BTW, the tail light guards...are they held on by screws or bolts? There's a woman in my area who I see at least twice a week who has them on her 4Runner. Figure if I have the right tool in hand, I may be able to take them off her hands for a few bucks

They fit over the original screw assembly, you just get longer screws so they'll make it securely, i think mine are 1.5"...I'll take pictures of it later

As for right now, I'm done! Here are some cell phone pics. Ended up getting 2 led light strips and mounted perfectly between the bottom of the grill and the ARB. I'll let you know the plans for phase 3 tonight, it does include the arb going tan

Update

Just bought this

Okay here are some real resolution pictures for you guys to show off the paint, the arb leds and a temporary scooped hood. Gobi ladder will be here next week and the rear bumper build will begin in the beginning of October and a few more goodies will be added along the way

Paint looks good!

We expect a full review on that Gobi ladder with pictures of how it mounts. I am very curious to see how the door holds up to the weight of someone on that ladder.

Ditto, and your giving me ideas, although I'd be a little nervous about painting on my shiny new silver 3rd gen

Which reminds me I need to post pic, but I digress. Great job man

idk..im not diggin it but to each their own right!..

i think it will look better when you get the ARB powder coated tan to match...

i also think it'd look good with the side view mirrors painted tan..or at least the part facing front..

and what are the little LED bars for on the front???..lol they dont look like they put out much light?????

Thanks for the props. From what I've gathered its either a clamp style connection on the top and bottom or something else, only thing concrete is no drilling required. I'll do whatever necessary to make sure it doesn't fail. I'll definitely be giving a write up, probably not really using it till later this year. 2 snowboard trips around the new year will get it broken in for sure.

The ARB will definitely be getting pc'd to match, just not at the moment. the led's on the front were an impulse buy, mostly cosmetic but I know they'll come in handy. I'm always doing night work and using the bumper as a shelf, it provides great light in that case at the very least haha

Very insightful. Double sided tape and a clamp at the bottom. I guess it will stay on fine, but will the door hold up to that type of use
