Changed my rear brakes and.....

inside the left drum there was a lot of grease. The brakes were soaked with grease. What do you guys think, blown seal? Also, when I replaced the brakes, I could only do the left ones because the right tire didn't want to come off. I guess the mechanic tightened them up hard with the air gun. My other question is that I adjusted at least the left one, and he adjusted the right one, what other reasons would my emergency brake not stop the truck that well? Should I adjust both of them again?

I'm willing to bet it's an axle seal that's gone bad. Guess what, you'll have to replace those shoes again!!! Mine's in the shop as we speak.

It was black, but that could be because of the dirt and the time it was there. It sure looked like grease. If it is a bad brake cylinder, how hard are those to replace? And how much $ ?

Either brake fluid or gear oil mixed with brake dust will look like grease.
It will be very important to find the source of the leak before you clean everything.

There did appear to be a little crack in the rubber seal that surrounds the rear brake (little cylinder). If that is the case, how do you replace that piece? Any write-ups on that?
